Join us for a discussion with provincial experts to learn about human trafficking in our country and how we can help in the fight to end it.

About this Event

Our first online Impact Event is Elevate: Understanding Human Trafficking.

Human trafficking is a very real and prevalent issue in our communities, our province and within Canada. Elevate: Understanding Human Trafficking will be a night of education, discussion, and learning steps we can take to make a difference in the fight against human trafficking.

The evening will feature a powerful panel discussion followed by a Q&A. Elevate impact events are safe spaces to learn and connect while making a difference.

Proceeds from the event are going to Action Coalition on Human Trafficking (ACT) Alberta, a non-profit organization that leads activities related to education, advocacy collaboration and victim assistance.

Panelists include:

• Jessica Brandon, Manager of Training & Education, ACT Alberta

• Corporal Kim Bradfield, Corporal with the KARE Counter Exploitation Unit, RCMP

• Detective Paul Rubner, Calgary Police Service, Counter Exploitation Unit (Vice), PSECA Coordinator

The event is open to all ages and genders. Anyone who wants to learn more about human trafficking and what they can do to help raise awareness is welcome. Please be aware the subject matter may be potentially upsetting. Those 17 years and under must attend with an accompanying adult.
