The Corner Club would host community and holiday get-togethers, be involved in business ventures and offer peer support. As our organization evolved, The Corner Club was formalized into Ventures.  Alumni in Ventures would facilitate talks in the community to at risk youth and support current Participants in our programming.

Led by the Sowers Group, Servants Anonymous Society of Calgary was officially incorporated as a non-profit charitable organization in Alberta, dedicated to women leaving the sex trade or who were at risk of involvement.

Dominique opened her home, Oasis Centre House, as our first residential program.

The A.S.K. Learning Centre, Cuddle and Care, and Fireworks Cooperative open their doors.

The A.S.K. Classroom was a curriculum developed specifically for women leaving the sex trade. Cuddle and Care provided accessible childcare, and Fireworks Cooperative provided work experience and employment opportunities for the women at SAS.

SAS moved into the Inglewood building which housed our day program, Fireworks Cooperative, Cuddle and Care and transitional apartments. We called the Inglewood building home for 19 years with over 700 women walking through it’s doors as they began their journey of freedom from exploitation and trafficking.

The first annual Calgary Book Drive & Sale in support of SAS takes place. This fundraiser would evolve into being our largest fundraising event with over 100,000 books and raising $150,000+ annually. The Calgary Book Sale continues today and has created a community of volunteers,  book lovers, and supporters of RESET.

SAS opens it’s first SAFE House to support immediate, safe exit from sexual exploitation and trafficking. The SAFE House was closed in 2016 and reopened as the i-EXIT rapid-exit, 5-bedroom safe house with onsite programming in 2017.

2017 was a year of many changes for SAS. We sold the Inglewood building and moved into a new office space in south Calgary. We purchased two new homes to replace the apartments and officially opened the doors to our i-EXIT safe house.

In November of 2017, we underwent a rebranding to reflect our current program and the women we support and from there, RESET Society of Calgary was born.

As RESET Society and demand for our services grew, we increased capacity by purchasing additional homes. We now have 4 second stage homes (19 beds) and the i-EXIT Safe House (5 beds).

We also focused our efforts on increasing awareness of sexual exploitation and trafficking and held the first annual Sexual Exploitation & Trafficking Awareness Conference.

RESET celebrates our 35^th anniversary with over 1,150 women supported since first opening our doors.
