It is the most magical time of year! For many of the women and their children at RESET it will be their first holiday where they are in a safe place. This time of year is filled with cheer for most of us, but for some of the women at RESET, the holidays are difficult. Women and their children often come to us with no family support and have little or no possessions. During this cold season we would like to bring warmth and light to the lives of the women in the EXIT Program. This year, we would like to give women exiting sexual exploitation and trafficking the gift of safety, stability, and hope, so they know there is a way out.
The Help Create a Magic Christmas Campaign provides 35-40% of much needed program expenses annually. Generous donations from this campaign allow RESET to offer immediate safe housing, life-skills programming, educational funding, work experience, and Community Support to women rebuilding their lives after sexual exploitation. This past year, the women in the EXIT Program’s ability to meet their basic needs has been challenged by the rising cost of living. The women have extremely limited budgets for groceries, clothing, and basic needs items. This holiday season, there simply is no room in the women’s budget for anything other than the necessities. For this reason, this holiday season it is extremely important that we are able to provide each woman in the EXIT Program a laundry basket filled with items that are both basic needs items as well as items so they can pamper themselves.
