Women supported in exiting sexual exploitation & trafficking
The first Calgary Book Sale took place in 2003. In partnership with the Calgary Herald, Servants Anonymous Society (SAS) set out to hold the inaugural Book Drive & Sale with proceeds to benefit SAS. The event was anticipated to be the largest of it’s kind and did not disappoint. Book lovers showed up in the hundreds with overwhelming support for a small organization, making a big difference in the lives of vulnerable women.
Over 20 years later, and the evolution of the Calgary Book Sale as a fundraising event has enabled RESET Society of Calgary to continue to provide essential supports to women and their children. Each year over 100,000 books are donated from fiction, to history, and rare finds. With over 8,000 square feet filled with books, this event is truly a book lovers dream.
